15th April 2009 - 357216 heads towards London Fenchurch Street [FST] as 2B29, the 1235 from Shoeburyness [SRY] past a sunny, albeit foggy Leigh-on-Sea

15th April 2009 - The Essex answer to the South West at Dawlish! 357043 shuffles past at Leigh-on-Sea working 2D31 1250 Southend Central [SOC] - London Fenchurch Street [FST] via Tilbury [TIL]. The non-standard numbers on the nose were supplied when the carriage returned from Crewe after suffering collision damage at East Ham Depot with sister unit 357002. The undamaged carriages were pieced together and formed 2 new units: 357098 + 357099, until the repaired stock returned

15th April 2009 - 357045 working 2D16 London Fenchurch Street [FST] - Southend Central [SOC] via Tilbury [TIL] shortly after departing Leigh-on-Sea [LES]. The beached 'Wilton' is an ex-minesweeper dating back to WW2, now used as the clubhouse for the Essex Yacht Club. Note the Anti Aircraft gun still in situ towards the bow of the vessel
